Silver Stag and Michelle Severe-- Ready to be Discovered!
Michelle is one of America's treasures-- a truly brilliant scrimshaw artist (or scrimshander), who has teamed up with Silver Stag to create some of the highest quality, best value knives in the world.
Silver Stag is actually a custom shop, but they are rapidly becoming known for incredible quality for their value. For example, their new Damascus Field knife, at under $200, compares in quality and beauty to knives selling for $1,200 plus! This knife is folded to more than 300 layers with the ideal contrast formula of 1095 with 15NZ0, to create a work of art that also is a razor sharp, functional, skinner, caper, general use field knife you'll be just as proud to carry as display in your collection.
Stag also makes some incredible swords, including a Damascus Roman Short Sword, that, we swear, should be selling for over $5,000-- for under $500! This much steel, with this much work, is truly astonishing for the price. But it doesn't end there-- SS includes hand tooled and hand stitched belt scabbards that would normally sell for the price of the knife by themselves! Their scabbards are gorgeous, top leather, artist hand made, perfect fit, and works of art in themselves. In our torture tests, SS stands up to the highest Master level quality with each blade. We literally cut one of their Chinese imitators in half with one of their 440's without a nick!
SS experiments with many different Damascus patterns, including the popular and sought after twists, yet always keeps their prices reasonable. All US-made in Washington State, each of their damascus knives is hand forged and ground.
